Many great politicians, economic men, from various backgrounds, have built their fame and success at the expense of the vast majority. However, to rebuild their reputation, they took the initiative to create a foundation, a non-profit association, to help poor people, of which they themselves are authors of the collapse.
All these gymnastics for one goal: to be humanistic. God does not exhort us to love according to the flow of the world, but rather according to the example of Christ, our perfect model. This is why we must obviously be Christians who practice true love of neighbor. So the question to ask is: How to do it?
Love according to humanism.
Protagoras had to say: “Man is the measure of all things.” A quote that perfectly illustrates the ideal of homocentric philosophical doctrine: “Man is at the center of everything.” It is a biblical truth that man is a very important element in God’s device. However, it is not at the center of everything. It is God Himself who is at the center.
A doctrine that prioritizes man over God, despite its resemblance to love of neighbor, is a doctrine to be avoided by Christians. This is why some who call themselves humanists are devoid of humanity.
Ask yourself why we are told about the humanist? More than a quarter of the world’s population is severely food insecure. However, a minority waste food. Ask yourself why we are being told about humanity in a world that offers us the invention of weapons of mass destruction to maintain peace.
This is the humanism of which the world speaks. A love for safeguarding interests.
Love according to the Word of God.
Romans 12:20a (NKJV) “If your enemy is hungry give him food, if your enemy thirsts give him something to drink. ยป
Love that has mercy and mercy even for those who resent our lives. Because we do nothing special if we show love to those who give it to us. Love is patient, does not boast, etc. It is not works of charity that make us love, but it is love that impels us to practice works of charity, because for us Christians love is more than a question of humanity. It’s a brand, an identity.
We would not be Christians without love, for the God we serve has no love but is Love. That is why the most spectacular “I love you” was pronounced on the cross by Jesus Christ, carrying the burden of all mankind on His back.
We must not make a gesture of love to take advantage of others, to safeguard an interest, because the Christian faith requires us to love without the slightest interest, regardless of skin, religious affiliation, sex, the relationship we develop with the person in question (family, friend and foe).
Be more than a humanist, that is, a brother/sister who loves following Christ’s example. The greatest “I love you was said silently to Golgotha”
