United Methodist Church Cameroon
About Our Church
The United Methodist Church Cameroon is a welcoming and inclusive community that knows that God loves everyone, without exception.
Our Mission & Vision
Our mission is to help connect people to faith.
We do this by making disciples of Jesus Christ for the trans formation of the world by proclaiming the good news of God’s grace and by exemplifying Jesus’ command to love God and our neighbours, thus, seeking the fulfillment of God’s reign and realm in the world
Our vision
Our visions to see transformational leaders cultivating passionate disciples of Jesus Christ in congregations with:
Passionate faith – to shape mature and fearless disciples that others will emulate.
Boundless hope – to inspire a positive vision of current and future ministry.
Transformational leadership – Difference-makers who transform people’s lives, the congregation and the community.
Congregational vitality – vibrant and life changing congregations
Our Beliefs & Values
We believe in the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ, whose life, death, and resurrection saved the world. As members of the United Methodist Church, we have a legacy of inclusion, aspiring to tell and illustrate God’s love for every human being.
The laity and clergy cooperate at all levels of our Church with the sole aim of drawing our local communities closer to christ
Unity
Unity, in a biblical context, means the oneness or harmony that should exist among believers and with God. Unity is based on the work of Christ on the cross, which breaks down all barriers and gathers us as one body. The Bible calls us to live in unity within ourselves, with other followers of Jesus, and with the Spirit, regardless of our differences. Unity is good and pleasant, and it glorifies God.
Liberty
The Bible says that liberty is a gift from God that comes from knowing the truth and being set free by the Son. In the United Methodist Church, we believe that liberty is not a license to sin, but an opportunity to serve one another in love. Liberty also means obeying God’s law with the right spirit and attitude, which brings joy and happiness. God respects our freedom to choose our own path, but he also warns us of the consequences of our choices.
“The people of The United Methodist Church are part of the second-largest Protestant denomination in the United States, while Our global connection has approximately 12.8 million members.“
Who We Are
Our Team & Leadership
Our leadership is based on the gifts and talents that God has given to each individual. Therefore, it is the personal responsibility of each individual to develop these gifts and talents in order to become an effective leader.
We follow seven essential principles for Christ-inspired leadership. These principles include remaining humble, doing the Father’s will, being the servant of all, putting all things into the Father’s hands, responding to the needs of others, sharing His authority, and building a team.

Rev. Dr. Ekoka Molindo
Superintendent
As the assistant campus pastor of the University of Nebraska, Omaha, USA, in 1996, he embarked on an independent project to translate the Bible into Pidgin English. Pidgin English is the lingua franca spoken by the general population in more than five West African countries with a population of more than 300 million souls. This is the language used by individuals who have never had the opportunity to go to school but who must also be reached with the Good News of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
