Genesis 2:15 (NKJV) “The Lord God took man, and placed him in the Garden of Eden to cultivate and guard him.”
I came to understand that one of the first tasks the Lord gave man was creation in the Garden of Eden. Indeed, the purpose for which God placed man in the Garden of Eden was to cultivate and keep him. In other words, to work the land in order to meet its needs.
Whatever one thinks of it, work is a way God gives man to flourish, to live in prosperity, and to receive blessings in his life. That is why the sowing season and the harvest season obey principles.
Before harvesting, you need to sow.
2 Corinthians 9:6 (NKJV) “Know it, he who sows little shall reap little, and he who sows abundantly shall reap abundantly.”
In speaking to the Corinthians in this way, the apostle Paul states here a biblical principle: we reap only what we sow.
Let’s take the example of a student: if he wants to pass his exam, he must revise his courses, do exercises, process old homework and exams. On this condition, he can expect to have a good grade. And the more seriously he works, the better his grade will be.
But before succeeding, this student first had to invest in his revisions, spend time alone at home, in front of his notebooks. Because to get a good grade, the student must first work on his courses.
God wants our harvest to be abundant.
God’s desire is for us to have the best grades in our exams, He wants us to receive a good salary for our work, He wants to make our every effort fruitful, and this for two reasons.
The first is that God is a generous God, it is His nature. Therefore, He wants to bless us abundantly. The second is that when I live in prosperity, I can help the people around me; when they are going through a difficult time or want to carry out a project that is important to them.
I can also support my Church in fulfilling its mission. We then observe the circle of divine blessing: God blesses me, I bless my surroundings and my Church, and God blesses me again.
God makes us champions.
But right now, I can see that many people are discouraged in the world of work: they don’t want to take up a job that doesn’t match their level of education or their field of expertise, they are reluctant to start with a low-paid job, they are dejected by the unemployment rate. But let us remember what the Bible promises:
Deuteronomy 28:13 (NKJV) “The Lord shall make you the head and not the tail, you shall always be above and you will never be below, when you obey the commandments of the Lord your God, which I prescribe to you today, when you observe them and put them into practice”

That is why we must not be afraid to start with a difficult job, because the Lord sees it! He sees our efforts, our sorrows and in His time, He will give us a job, a promotion and put us at the head. We work and God takes care of blessing us in our effort.
Let us not forget that we have with us the God of abundance and blessing. God wants us to live this blessing in our work through promotions, raises, high positions. But for that, we have to roll up our sleeves and take the first step.
